Main Objectives
- Provide a refreshing and invigorating fragrance
- Offer a cooling and stimulating effect on skin and senses
Spearmint is a colorless to yellowish-green fluid with a strong, cool, and characteristic minty aroma. It is soluble in alcohol, vegetable oils, and other essential oils but almost insoluble in water. Menthol is its main component, along with menthone, menthyl acetate, menthofuran, pulegone, and various terpenes.
Spearmint exhibits antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antiparasitic effects, making it useful for minor wound care and supporting skin protection. Its refreshing scent is widely used in aromatherapy to stimulate and energize, as well as to improve mental clarity and reduce fatigue. It can also be applied in cosmetic formulations for a cooling sensation, scalp stimulation, and a revitalizing effect.
