Ylang-ylang essential oil (Cananga odorata) is extracted from the fresh flowers of the Ylang-ylang tree through steam distillation. Its sweet, floral, and slightly spicy aroma is widely used in perfumery, including iconic fragrances like Chanel No. 5.
Beyond its aromatic use, ylang-ylang essential oil has been traditionally used in cosmetic formulations for hair and skin care. It is known for mild antifungal activity and can contribute to skin and scalp conditioning, helping to maintain softness and shine in hair while gently supporting skin health.
Allergens in accordance with cosmetics directive 1223/2009 EC including amending regulations: Benzyl benzoate (12%), Benzyl salicylate (5%), Beta-Caryophyllene (19%), Geraniol (3%), Geranyl acetate (15%), Linalool (24%), Pinene (0.7%).
